Background and Discussion:
On October 31, 2023 the Commissioners Court approved to execute a Service Outlet Location for Electrical Service with CenterPoint Energy, LLC for HAY Center located at 3131 Gulf Freeway, Houston, TX 77003. CenterPoint requires utility provider to be identified. The Hay Project consists of the Services Center which includes administrative offices, a training room, medical counseling services, life skills classrooms, and gathering spaces. The Residential building includes gathering spaces, a kitchen, fitness room as well as the 50-unit apartments.
Expected Impact:
If this agreement is not moved forward the project it supports cannot continue.

There are no alternate service provider options as CenterPoint is the only entity that can provide the services.
