Background and Discussion:

This contract renewal is for software and support that tracks our mosquito truck pesticide treatments. The software gathers information regarding speed of vehicles; dosage of chemicals being applied and GPS data that in turn reduces liability to the County.

Expected Impact:

This software services all of Harris County Public Health’s mosquito spray trucks and eliminates mistakes by calculating data into summary logs to produce metrics the department follows for accuracy and reporting to regulating agencies. The reduction in time spent by staff utilizing this software enhances priorities that are shifted to other responsibilities.

Alternative Options:

Alternative options would require hardware purchases and new software far exceeding the cost of our current renewal.
