Background and Discussion:

HCFCD is experiencing an increased workload due to enhancements in our maintenance program, which resulted from the approval of Proposition A during the November 5, 2024, election. To meet these new demands, HCFCD plans to request additional staffing in phases.  Phase 1 of this request will significantly impact our day-to-day operations. We have identified several essential positions to support our organizational needs.

We respectfully ask the Commissioner's Court to authorize these staffing recommendations. This action will ensure that HCFCD has the necessary personnel to effectively manage the expanded workload and serve the community with excellence.

Expected Impact:

Will be funded through new voters tax rate.  Annual expectation for this phase is $570,918.40 excluding benefits rates.
