Background and Discussion:
PCT 4 requested a new pavilion at Art Storey Park styled as an Asian pavilion. The roof was contracted under Harris County Job Order Contractor LMC Corporation. The roof was hand carved in Taiwan, and the completed roof structural pieces have been shipped to Houston, now stored in a Precinct 4 warehouse.
The project received four CSP submissions in the fall of 2023. Two were disqualified. Two remaining submissions were reviewed. The low bidder was deemed not qualified. The other bidder’s submission price was substantially over the project budget.
Expected Impact:
The project will be re-advertised and rebid.
