Background and Discussion:

The purpose of this Material Transfer Agreement is to enable Dr. Joseph McMillian at Texas Tech University and the Harris County Public Health Department Mosquito and Vector Control Division to exchange samples and materials. This collaboration aims to expand the understanding of the genetic diversity of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes. These samples, which would otherwise be discarded, can be used to support molecular research on mosquitoes that spread diseases in our community.

Expected Impact:

The impact on Mosquito and Vector Control Division operations will be minimal, involving only packing and the sending of mosquito samples to Dr. McMillian at Texas Tech University.

Alternative Options:

There are no other alternative options for this project.
