Background and Discussion:
Harris County purchased 1111 Fannin to be the new offices for HCED, HCFCD, Purchasing, and HRRM. These four departments will occupy the majority of the building along with Harris County Public Health. This court amendment entails scope pertaining to the building’s 1st Floor and HVAC system.
Expected Impact:
The Construction Manager At Risk will provide assistance and guidance to the design team for the procurement of long lead items, constructability, budget, and schedule.
Alternative Options:
The alternative would be not to have a Construction Manager At Risk proceed with construction of the next phase of the overall 1111 Fannin Renovations project.
