Background and Discussion:
The project is located in the City of South Houston limits and is a joint participation project with City of South Houston. In September 19th, 2023 Commissioners court approved an Interlocal agreement with City of South Houston to design and construct improvements to Main Street, State Street, and Texas Street.
Expected Impact:
Binkley & Barfield will provide study and design of roadway and sidewalk improvements to State Street from College Avenue to Oregon Street, Main Street from Canniff Street to College Avenue and Texas Street from Avenue E to Avenue G to improve road conditions, traffic flow and enhance pedestrian mobility. Improvements to the bridges over C106-03-00 & C106-07-00 will be evaluated.
Alternative Options:
If no action is taken, professional engineering services will be delayed if addtional staff is not contracted.
