Background and Discussion:
This Contract is to assist with procurement of loads of fifty (50) Concrete Jersey Barriers (48-inch) at a time The intent is to deliver Concrete Jersey Barriers (48-inch) to either the Michael Talbott or South Service Center for Harris County Flood Control District so that in-house crews can respond to secure assets from vehicular traffic in Harris County, Texas. The plain concrete barriers shall be new, 48-inch Long X 24-inch Wide X 32-inch High and weighing 750 pounds. Harris County Flood Control District shall furnish staff and equipment to unload the new Concrete Jersey Barriers (48-inch).
On June 2, 2025, a total of four (4) bids were received for the contract to supply Concrete Jersey Barriers (48-inch). After evaluating the bids, HCFCD recommends awarding this Term Contract to both the lowest and second low bidder equally, DreamEx, LLC and Structural Integrity Group, LLC. The amount of the award will be based on the low bidder, DreamEx, LLC
Expected Impact: With the passage of the "Maintenance Matters" proposition, Maintenance Construction Group will utilize the concrete barriers to secure channel and detention pond areas from vandalism and illegal dumping.
