Request for approval of a certain project, decreeing the project to be a public necessity and convenience, and directing the Harris County Real Property Division to acquire, one (1) temporary construction easement tract for the public project known as Birnam Wood Blvd Segment 1 - from 450' north of Hickorygate Dr to south of J109-01-01 - 2019, for the purpose of roadway construction, UPIN 20104MF1BG01, Precinct 3.

Background and Discussion:
The project consists of constructing the extension of Birnam Wood Boulevard from 450’ north of Hickorygate Drive to south of HCFCD Unit # J109-01-01 within Harris County Precinct 3. The project length is approximately 0.77 miles. The specific scope consists of, but not limited to the following tasks:
- Demolition of portions of the existing pavement.
- Preparing portions of the right-of-way.
- Excavation
- 10-inch concrete pavement with 8-inch lime stabilized sub grade and curb.
- Driveways.
- Sidewalks and curb ramps.
- Installation of inlets and storm sewer pipe.
- Pavement markings and sign age.
- Traffic control.
- Installation of a new traffic signal.
Expected Impact:
If approved, Drainage Grading for acquisition area will be complete and construction of proposed roadway and drainage improvements.
