Background and Discussion:
This project consists of approximately 4 miles of sidewalk improvements within the Cornerstones and Memorial Municipal Utility Districts (MUD) areas. The work includes ADA-compliant pedestrian and traffic signal features at all public street intersections, properly sloped driveways, and retaining walls where required due to steep grades behind the curb. Overall, the project enhances transportation accessibility and safety within the project limits.
Expected Impact:
Awarding the contract will allow the recommended bidder to proceed with construction. Project is needed to provide alternative mobility and connectivity options that enhance pedestrian and bicycle access within the surrounding neighborhood.
