Background and Discussion:

The On-Call Stormwater Quality Maintenance Program, established in 2020, provides maintenance and emergency repairs for Harris County-owned stormwater quality features. Renewing the vendor contract is essential to ensure uninterrupted service and maintain compliance with state and federal stormwater regulations. This on-call contract enables timely responses to issues found during routine inspections, as well as urgent repairs resulting from damage, blockages, or flooding. Quick and efficient maintenance helps reduce environmental impacts and supports the long-term performance of the County’s stormwater quality infrastructure. Additional funds will be requested for the next fiscal year.

Expected Impact:

Renewing the vendor contract will allow Harris County to continue addressing stormwater quality maintenance needs and emergency repairs as they arise, supporting ongoing regulatory compliance and the protection of local water resources.
