Background and Discussion:
Venue and catering services for the Senior Luncheon were formally solicited under Job No. 240297; however, no responsive bids were received. Under Texas Local Government Code §§262.0225(d) and 262.0245, when a formal solicitation results in inadequate competition, the Purchasing Agent may recommend alternative procurement procedures. In accordance with the Harris County Local Procurement Policy, Commissioners Court approved entering into an agreement with Marriott Hotel Services, LLC on October 29, 2024, with renewal options.
The County Attorney’s Office has prepared an Addendum to clarify terms of the Agreement and to support the County’s exercise of the second renewal option. The Addendum also updates the Limit of Appropriation and memorializes the Parties’ shared understanding of the Agreement for the upcoming term.
