Background and Discussion:
The Recovery Coaches provide support to participants in the Responsive Interventions for Change (RIC) Docket. RIC consolidates nearly 5,000 low-level felony cases a year typically distributed across the 29 district courts into one docket solely designed to reduce high recidivism rates and racial and ethnic disparity among low-level offenders through diversion to therapeutic programs and community supervision or pretrial intervention.
Expected Impact:
Renewal of the contract will ensure that RIC participants continue to receive the support provided by the Recovery Coaches.
