Background and Discussion:
Porter Road is an existing 2-lane asphalt road with roadside ditches. The project proposes improving the existing conditions to a 4-lane concrete boulevard with medians, underground storm sewer and sidewalks.

Expected Impact:
The project will upgrade and expand the capacity of the 2-lane roadway to 4-lanes to handle the demands of the current and future traffic volumes. The improvements will alleviate congestion, reduce delays, and provide safe mobility for residents, pedestrians, and drivers in Northwest Katy.

Alternative Options:
If the County could not elect to approve this request, the consultant would not be able to complete the scope of work.
