Background and Discussion:
In 2023, Harris County was awarded grant funds in the amount of $3,000,000 by the Department of Health and Human Services/Health Resources and Services Administration. The initial grant period for this award was September 30, 2023, through September 29, 2026, for the purpose of providing primary care and mental health services to Harris County residents. On September 9, 2026, the grant end date was extended to 9/29/2027. The project was delayed due to having to rebid the project, as no bid submissions met Harris County Purchasing requirements.
