Background and Discussion:
AARP has requested approval to host its volunteerled Smart Driver Program at the Bayland Community Center, offering safedriving education and insuranceeligible completion certificates for participants. The program is scheduled for October 1, October 16, and December 3, with onsite collection of class fees ($20 for AARP members and $25 for nonmembers) remitted directly to AARP.

Expected Impact:
Offering these sessions at a Precinct 4 facility will expand access to safedriving education for older adults and other community members, supporting roadway safety and reducing preventable accidents. The program strengthens community engagement at Bayland Community Center while providing a lowcost, nationally supported public service led by trained volunteers.

Alternative Options:
If this request is not approved the organization will have to find a different venue to hold their event.
