Background and Discussion:
On December 11, 2025, Commissioners Court approved the grant award from the Office of the Governor for
grant funds in the amount of $ $3,564,520.77, with no cash match requirement. The TAG Center supports
strategic partnerships and targeted regional, multidisciplinary approaches to combat gang violence through
the coordination of gang prevention, intervention, and suppression activities. This no-cost extension will enable the program to continue its operations and make full use of the awarded grant funds. The grant end date will be modified from August 31, 2026, to October 31, 2026.

Expected Impact:
This grant is used to fund TAG Center operations along with supplies, personnel, equipment, and software
expenses to be utilized by HCSO and partnering agencies for the purpose of investigating gang-related crimes
in this region.

Alternative Options:
Not accepting this extension will result in us not being able to expend all our funding.
