Request for approval of one (1) Project Coordinator position, effective September 19, 2026, to support the Office of Financial Services.

Background and Discussion:
This request supports the creation of 1 position within the Office of Financial Services will strengthen Harris County Public Health's contract administration capacity and provide critical operational support for post-award contract management throughout the contract life cycle. The current team has no dedicated backup coverage, creating operational risk and reducing the ability to maintain continuity of essential contract management functions. Existing staff are operating at full capacity, and responsibilities have already been redistributed to other teams to address workload demands.
Funding for this position will be absorbed within the existing General Fund allocation and will result in a decrease of $47,146.13 to the General Fund budget as one existing position (PN: 10005449) will be change funding source to 2316 effective September 19, 2026 to offset the cost of this change.
