Project Description:
The project involves replacement of Harris County's (HC) compute (virtualization) and monitoring infrastructure that supports all of our enterprise services and applications. These services include but are not limited to the following mission critical systems: JWEB, PeopleSoft, Computer Aided Dispatch / Record Management System (CAD/RMS), Email, Active Directory Services, etc. The county is moving from the existing virtualization platform to Nutanix to reduce significant increases in General Fund expenses caused by a significant increase in current vendor's licensing fees. Functional capabilities are like-for-like and have been fully assessed. Migration will deliver no loss of functionality.
