Background and Discussion:
The scope of this project includes drainage system repairs along HCFCD channels R102-03-00 and R102-03-01 with major emphasis on earthwork, including but not limited to erosion repair, slope failure repair, removal and disposal of sediment accumulations, riprap installation, pipe removal and replacement, outfall structure removal and replacement and related items. HCFCD received six (6) responsive bids on July 13, 2026, for this project. The recommendation is to award the project to the lowest responsible bidder, MB Western Construction Co.
Expected Impact:
The objective of this project is to restore channel functionality and prevent further erosion and other deterioration.
Alternative Options:
The alternative to do nothing would allow further erosion and deterioration of the channel drainage system.
