Background and Discussion:
A Victim Assistance coordinator I position is needed to add additional support in the Victim Services Division. This employee will provide guidance to the victims about the criminal justice system, to serve as a liaison between the victim and the prosecutor, and to ensure that the victim receives the necessary resources to promote healing and wholeness. The VAC will also provide court and /or meeting accompaniment to provide emotional support and criminal justice information to the victim.
