Background and Discussion:
The Harris County Criminal Justice Coordinating Council (CJCC) was created by Commissioners Court in 2009. The Council works collectively to manage systemic changes facing Harris County's criminal justice system.

The Council identified a need for representation from the Managed Assigned Counsel (MAC) to further facilitate collaboration among the represented agencies. Consequently, the Council voted to amend Section 2 of its bylaws to include the Executive Director of the MAC as a voting member of the CJCC. In accordance with CJCC guidelines, the bylaw changes require approval from Commissioners Court before the addition can take effect.

Expected Impact:
Add the Executive Director of the Harris County Managed Assigned Counsel as a voting member of the CJCC.
