Background and Discussion:
Ryan White Part A is a federal program administered through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). The program serves individuals living with HIV who do not have health insurance (public or private), have insufficient health care coverage, or lack the financial resources needed to access necessary HIV-related care. In addition to outpatient medical care, Ryan White funds support services that help individuals access and remain engaged in medical care. The amendment with Harris Health provides funding for primary medical care, psychiatry, outreach services, prescription assistance, medication education, and medical and non-medical case management services.
