Background and Discussion:
Burnett Bayland Park is in Harris County Precinct 4 at the intersection of Gulfton Street and Chimney Rock Road. The approximately 40-acre park is bounded by Gulfton Street to the north, Chimney Rock Road to the east, Alder Drive to the west, and additional parkland to the south. Existing amenities include a skate park, walking trails, community center, playgrounds, and basketball courts. The proposed improvements will enhance the park's functionality and community appeal by adding an inclusive playground, detention basin, event lawn, multi-purpose courts, soccer fields, gaming and seating areas, rain gardens, restrooms, and pavilions. This change order includes the addition of new items to the contract. These modifications result in a net increase of $10,758.34, ensuring the project is completed in accordance with the original design intent.
