Background and Discussion:
Based on the bid results and the recommendation of the Office of the County Engineer (OCE) and the design consultant, Michael Baker International, Inc., it is recommended that the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, Juan & Son Contracting, LLC, be awarded the contract for the Construction of Subdivision Drainage Improvements - Lakeshore - 2024 for Harris County Precinct 3.

Expected Impact:
Awarding the contract will allow the recommended bidder to proceed with the construction of the Subdivision Drainage Improvements - Lakeshore - 2024 project. The project consists of installing a secondary storm sewer system and a new outfall to Lake Houston to improve drainage and reduce flood risk for the properties located at 13718, 13722, and 13726 Elm Shores Drive.

Alternative Options:
The alternative is not to award the contract. If no action is taken, the upgrades will not be constructed.
