Background and Discussion:
Curiosity Cruiser is a state-of-the-art mobile library that provides Harris County children with access to books and exciting educational programs that integrate reading with science, math, technology, writing, and the arts. The Curiosity Cruisers are staffed by Harris County Public Library employees. Books, supplies, materials, technology, and other mascot maintenance and repair costs are paid for with grant funds from the Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation.
The grant period for this award was extended by the grantor to September 30, 2026, to allow additional time to expend funds.
