Background and Discussion:
The FIFA World Cup will take place in Houston from June 14, 2026, through July 4, 2026. To welcome visitors and show support for the event, a prominently displayed World Cup-themed "Welcome to Harris County" banner will be placed for the duration of the games. The banner will greet both residents and visitors attending or participating in World Cup-related activities and help create a visible sense of celebration and civic pride throughout the county. All associated costs will be covered by the County Judge's Office.
