Background and Discussion:
Commissioners Court directed the Office of County Administration in coordination with the ARPA Steering Committee to identify up to $10 million in unspent ARPA FLEX and Interest funds to support the Fiscal Year 2027 General Fund budget, excluding funds from infrastructure projects, and return to Commissioners Court with a recommendation on June 11, 2026.
County Departments and the ARPA Steering Committee reviewed FLEX Fund and ARPA Interest-funded projects and submitted recommendations identifying funding capacity for potential reallocation. The ARPA Steering Committee recommends a reallocation of up to $5,624,299.21 from the programs below to support the Fiscal Year 2027 General Fund budget:
