On June 26, 2025, Harris County Commissioners Court approved the PY2025 Annual Action Plan for Entitlement funds, which included the Harris County Clearance and Demolition and Lead-Based Paint Abatement Programs. These programs are supported by the above-mentioned project activities.

On September 18, 2025, Commissioners Court approved the two (2) Community Development Block Grant Entitlement (CDBG-EN) funded agreements with the Harris County Public Health Department (HCPH) for the (1) Neighborhood Nuisance Abatement (NNA) Project in the amount of $190,000.00 to identify, investigate and abate 15 abandoned unsafe structures; and (2) the Lead-Based Paint Abatement (LBP) Project in the amount of $300,000.00 to reduce lead-based paint hazards by remediation in 20 single-family housing units in Harris
County.
