Background and Discussion:
This is a renewal for Job No. 21/0026 - E-rate Service Provider(s) for Dedicated Internet Access Services and Leased Lit Fiber Services for the Harris County Public Library. HCPL utilizes these services to provide internet connectivity for staff and library patrons and to maintain connectivity between all library branches and the Library's data center and network infrastructure.
Crown Castle Fiber LLC and Comcast Business Communications, LLC provide the dedicated internet access and fiber connectivity services necessary to support daily library operations, public computing services, wireless access, cloud applications, and communication between library facilities countywide. Vendor performance evaluations indicate that services have met operational requirements and renewal is recommended.
