Background and Discussion:
Approximately 80% of roadway panels are in poor or failed condition, with widespread cracking, ponding, and
settlement. Curb-and-gutter and stormwater inlets are also in need of repair. Sidewalks along both corridors
are narrow, damaged, and lack ADA-compliant ramps, limiting safe and accessible pedestrian mobility.

Expected Impact:
These upgrades will create a smooth, reliable surface for driving, and more consistent accessibility through a
repaired pedestrian network to nearby schools and bus stops while inlet repairs will improve drainage and
reduce street ponding, directly benefiting approximately 1,500 households.

Alternative Options:
The alternative option for this proposal would be not to enter into the agreement and seek other options.

County Strategic Plan Goal: 2. Connect our community with safe, reliable, equitably distributed, and well-maintained infrastructure.
