Background and Discussion:
On September 9, 2025, Harris County Universal Services was directed to collaborate directly with the Purchasing Office to evaluate all technology purchases that interact with the County network, regardless of cost. The first technology purchasing quarterly report was transmitted during the February 26, 2026, Commissioners Court, and included data from all four quarters of FY2025.
This is the second technology purchasing quarterly report which reviews all of the technology purchases of FY2026 Q1. The next quarterly report will be submitted to Commissioners Court on August 6, 2026, and will review the FY2026 Q2 technology purchases.
Expected Impact:
The quarterly report will enhance oversight of technology procurement and ensure alignment with County standards through centralized evaluation and quarterly reporting.
