Background and Discussion:
The scope of the project is improving community resilience and public safety in the Barker North Glen area by upgrading and optimizing a critical traffic signal in Harris County Precinct 4 to better withstand extreme weather and flooding. By replacing all signal components with modern, flood-resilient systems equipped with battery backups, pedestrian improvements, drainage upgrades, and Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) technology, the project will reduce signal failures during storms and improve traffic flow.

Expected Impact:
The Fiscal impact is $687,500 of CDBG-MIT funds. This project seeks to reduce mitigation flood risks and strengthen resiliency in Harris County.
