Request Summary (Agenda Caption):
title
Request by the Department of Economic Equity and Opportunity for approval of an amendment to the agreement with The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD to implement a cost-neutral re-allocation of program budget funds in the amount of $128,523.02 for the RISE Program.
end
Background and Discussion:
On March 26, 2024, Commissioners Court approved an agreement of $3,891,457.17 with The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD to implement the RISE program. RISE is intended to reach Harris County families with new expanded Early Childhood Intervention resources and interventions.
The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD is seeking a no-cost budget re-allocation to recalibrate program budget and fully spend down to efficiently prepare for closeout procedures.
Expected Impact:
The amendment will ensure timely billing and expenditure of allocated funds and prepare efficiently for program closeout.
Alternative Options:
Commissioners Court could forgo approving the agreement with the Harris Center which may result in delays for program closeout.
