Background and Discussion:
In October 2025, Commissioners Court unanimously approved the bylaws establishing the Harris County Broadband Task Force. On January 8, 2026, Commissioners Court appointed nearly all of the seats on the Task Force. On January 29, 2026, Commissioners Court amended the bylaws to allow up to two additional public members and appointed members to the open seats.
Expected Impact:
The adopted bylaws as amended by Commissioners Court on January 29, 2026, allow two additional at-large public members to be appointed to the Broadband Task Force.
