Background and Discussion:
Project included the Wastewater System Rehabilitation - Spring Camp and Klein Park. Due to unforeseen underground damage involving a sanitary sewer line that was not shown on the plans or detectable prior to excavation, the resulting repair work falls outside the original contract scope. This change in contractor allows the contractor to be properly compensated for the additional work and time.
This change includes:
New bid item: Excavation, demolition and installation including equipment and materials LS $24,440.01
The substantial completion date for the project will be set for April 18, 2026. In accordance with Section 5.3 of the General Conditions, (1) time is of the essence, and (2) delay damages will apply past the new substantial completion date.
