Background and Discussion:
On 1/23/25 Kitchell Contractors, Inc., was approved based on highest overall evaluation as the construction manager at risk. The scope of work is to construct an indoor swift water rescue training facility to support local and regional first responders. Of the 254 Texas Counties, Harris County leads Texas in the number of annual flood/drowning deaths. The construction of a flood rescue facility in Harris County will be the first in the region allowing for all Harris County agencies including other regional first responders to train together locally.
Expected Impact:
