Background and Discussion:
After 31 years of public service at Harris County Pollution Control Services, including being appointed as Executive Director in 2019, Dr. Babin will retire on April 2, 2026. As Executive Director, Dr. Babin has led the transformation and expansion of Harris County Pollution Control Services to improve environmental monitoring and enforcement, bolster emergency response and coordination, and educate and engage the public to better protect communities and our environment.
