Background and Discussion:
The University of Houston-Downtown is working with the Office of County Administration's Human and Civil Rights Office to provide interns to support initiatives and programming. The University of Houston-Downtown is funding the work study program to support Social Work students, completing practicum hours necessary to meet graduation requirements. This program is at no cost to the county.

Full-time undergraduate students are compensated for their time to help alleviate economic challenges.
