Request that the County Judge execute a Lease and Facility Use Agreement between Harris County and the East Harris County Empowerment Council (EHCEC), a Texas non-profit corporation for office space located at 15430 East Freeway, Channelview, Texas, 77530, which is a facility built to house community-based programs to address all aspects of social determinants of health including but not limited to homeless outreach, community resources, preventive healthcare, civic engagement, as well as housing instability, workforce and small business development.

Background and Discussion:
Harris County received Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and used the funds to construct an approximate 10,000 square foot facility to house community-based programs to address all aspects of social determinants of health. EHCEC needs office space to assist Harris County in providing services to community.
Expected Impact:
The leasing of office space allows EHCEC to provide healthcare services to all constituents who come to the new facility.
