Background and Discussion:
The Office of the Harris County Purchasing Agent has confirmed the sole source exemption. Immunalysis is the manufacturer of the ELISA drug screening reagents currently being used by the Harris County Medical Examiner's and the sole provider of these ELISA drug screen reagents validated on the Tecan EVO automated ELISA processor utilizing Immunalysis' NaviTrak software interface combined with Tecan EVOware software. The combined software, instrumentation package, and Immunalysis ELISA reagents have been optimized and validated to meet the demanding challenges of the forensic toxicology field.
