Background and Discussion:
The USDOT released the NOFO for the 10 in November 2025. The program provides grants for surface transportation infrastructure projects with significant local or regional impact. USDOT intends to make approximately $1.5 billion in funds available through this program.

Expected Impact:
The USDOT grant application seeks to expand 2.25 miles of Telge Road, from FM 2920 to Hwy 99, from an asphalt two-lane road to a four-lane concrete boulevard. The additional lanes will improve emergency vehicle access, while new medians will reduce the risk of head-on collisions. The project will also add natural landscape features, relocate utilities underground and create safer and more efficient drainage improvements. Surrounding residential neighborhoods, small businesses, and retail areas will also benefit from these corridor improvements.
