Request for approval to donate Motorola radio equipment (6 APX 6500 and 1 APX 6000) to Harris County ESD #50 / Channelview Fire Department to replace outdated, end-of-life radio equipment.

Background and Discussion:
As we have continued working through the radio replacement program, Harris County Universal Services has decommissioned these units as they fall outside of our 7-year asset lifecycle goal and are no longer usable for Harris County departments. Donating these units will help external first responder agencies replace outdated radio units that cause congestion on the network and weaken its performance. This work will strengthen the radio system's resiliency and ensure a better experience for first responders in the area.
