Background and Discussion:

The existing water system at Alexander Deussen Park experiences frequent breaks and leakage. The system is currently supplied by a well located on the adjacent City of Houston property. A comprehensive evaluation of the park's existing utility systems recommended replacing the existing water mains and service lines. This project will replace and up size the existing water main within the Deussen Park limits, including the supply line from the City of Houston water well to the terminus of the park.

Expected Impact:

This agreement will allow the firm to conduct field and laboratory testing on soil, concrete, asphalt and various other construction materials to ensure the material's compliance with Harris County Engineering Department's adopted standards and specifications as required by state law.
