Background and Discussion:
This request represents a change order to the ongoing JCI-managed performance contract project at NRG Park. The additional scope includes upgrades to failing lighting systems in the NRG Center conference and meeting rooms and the replacement of parking lot lighting with LED fixtures and intelligent controls.
The project will be funded from the $8 million allocated by the County to the Sports Corporation for capital improvement projects required to be completed prior to the 2026 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and FIFA World Cup events.
