Background and Discussion:
Public official bonds for certain Harris County elected officials are required by statute and are executed on an
annual basis. Commissioners Court approved the required bonds on December 11, 2025. The Office of Management and Budget is seeking approval of updated bonds with revised term dates for the District Clerk (Marilyn Burgess), County Clerk (Teneshia Hudspeth), Probate Court 2 Judge (Pamela Medina), Probate Court 4 Judge (James Horwitz), Probate Court 5 Judge (Fransheneka Watson), and Treasurer (Carla Wyatt). The original bonds will be filed with the County Clerk, and copies retained by OMB.
