Background and Discussion:
Washburn Tunnel completed construction in 1950. Facility condition assessments are routinely performed on the tunnel to assess its overall condition and the condition of its elements. As part of the assessments, it has been determined that the MCC is nearing its end of life and requires replacement to ensure reliability of the electrical and mechanical components. This request for advertisement for professional architectural and engineering services qualifications will allow for design for the removal and replacement of the MCC. With Commissioners Court approval, the solicitation for qualifications will be advertised for a minimum of three weeks.
