Background and Discussion: Channel and basin berms are intended for maintenance access but oftentimes ruts in the berms from regular county access and trespassing make access difficult, unsafe, or impossible with the potential of damaging county vehicles or causing areas where they may become stuck.
Expected Impact: The contract will facilitate the regular repair of access paths on the District's berms located on channels and basins to allow safe and stable access for maintenance and inspection of infrastructure.
Alternative Options: An alternative option would be to eliminate the contract and have the repair of maintenance access be handled internally by the District's Maintenance Construction Group.
