Background and Discussion:
The Harris County Sheriff's Office would like to request the following new positions: 3 Detention Captains, 6 Detention Lieutenants, 20 Detention Sergeants, 100 Detention Officers, and 2 Certified Lieutenants. The total cost for this request will be about $6.9M.

The annual cost was $9.3M, $4.6M was budgeted for savings, leaving $3.1M in unbudgeted savings.
