Background and Discussion:
The October 16, 2025 Commissioners Court approved the advertisement for low bid construction contract and approval of award is pending January 8, 2026 Commissioners Court approval.
This is a request to advertise for construction engineering inspection service to provide construction inspection of new signing & pavement markings for the pavement surface replacement project of SH 249 Tomball Tollway which is due for maintenance in the section that was installed in 2015. The existing surface is an asphalt Permeable Friction Course (PFC) which currently has a 5-8 year-life cycle.
Expected Impact:
Project will provide improved roadway conditions. Funding for this request will come from the Toll Road Authority.
